NOTICE OF VACANCY
MUNICIPALITY OF BOX ELDER
The following offices will become vacant due to the expiration of the present term or due to the resignation of office of the elective officer:
Council Member, Ward 1, 3-year term
Council Member, Ward 2, 3-year term
Council Member, Ward 3, 3-year term
Circulation of nominating petitions may begin on February 2nd, 2026 and petitions may be filed in the office of the finance officer located at 420 Villa Drive between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., (mountain time) not later than the 24th day of March, 2026, or mailed by registered mail not later than the 24th day of March, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. (mountain time).
NOTICE OF HEARING REQUEST FOR A VARIANCE
BEFORE THE BOX ELDER BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
Notice is hereby given that the following petitioner has applied to the City of Box Elder Board of Adjustment for a Variance as follows:
Application by Towey Design Group, Inc. on behalf of HP Park LP to allow detached single family homes instead of requiring townhomes due to lot frontage requirements on Lots 4, 5, 6, and 7, Block 1, Lot 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, Block 2 of Alpha Omega Subdivision, all in Section 25, T2N, R8E, B.H.M., Pennington County, South Dakota.
Notice is further given that said application will be heard by the City of Box Elder Board of Adjustment on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Second Floor Council Chambers at Box Elder City Hall, located at 420 Villa Drive. Any person interested may submit written comments to the Box Elder Planning Department before 5:00 p.m. on January 27, 2026, or be heard at the meeting regarding this matter.
