Salute to Ellsworth Food Truck & Vendor Selling Items Form

Thank you for your interest in participating in the City of Box Elder’s Annual Salute to Ellsworth Event!

This exciting community celebration will take place on Saturday, September 12th, 2026, at City Hall & Phelps Pond areas (420 Villa Drive) from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM: parade at 3:00 PM and a spectacular fireworks show around 8:00 PM. 
This is not a formal application or agreement. It is an acknowledgment. Submitting this form does not guarantee participation or placement at the event. You will be notified via email about your status after the sign-up deadline (August 21st), along with all additional event information. 

Deadline to submit: Friday, August 21st, 2026.  You will need to supply a copy of your certificate of insurance

The day of the event, you will need to be completely set up and ready to go by 3:30 PM. Tear-down may begin anytime after 7:15 PM but no later than 9:00 PM. The City of Box Elder reserves the right to assign vendor locations in a manner that best supports the success of the event and the experience of our attendees.  

This Event Vendor Acknowledgment permits the Vendor to display, exhibit, or provide items for sale or exhibit during the Salute to Ellsworth City of Box Elder Event. If selected.

1. VENDOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

a. USE OF PUBLIC EQUIPMENT: The Vendor will not use City equipment, supplies, or facilities without the express, written consent of the City.

2. GENERAL:

a. INSURANCE: At all times during the term of this Acknowledgement, the Vendor shall obtain and maintain in force occurrence-based commercial general liability with a limit of not less than $1,000,000.00 per occurrence, automobile liability insurance with a limit of not less than $1,000,000.00 each accident, and Workers’ Compensation coverage as required by South Dakota law.

b. HOLD HARMLESS: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Vendor agrees to indemnify and hold the City’s officers, agents, and employees harmless from and against any and all actions, suits, damages, liability, or other proceedings that may result from performing services hereunder. The Vendor is not required to be responsible for or defend against claims or damages arising solely from errors, omissions, or negligent acts by the City, its officers, agents, or employees.

c. TERMINATION: The City reserves the right to terminate this acknowledgment at any time, with or without cause.

d. FORCE MAJEURE: If the scheduled event is canceled due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, severe weather, natural disasters, government actions, public health emergencies, or other unforeseen events, we shall not be held liable for any fees, costs, or damages associated with the cancellation.
