The City of Box Elder is excited to announce Light ’Em Up, Box Elder!: Outdoor Christmas Decorating Contest! 🏆🎅

Whether your outdoor display is simple and classic, merry and bright, or completely over-the-top, we want to see your holiday spirit shine!

🏠 Register your home for a chance to win and earn some serious neighborhood bragging rights!

🏆 Prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 Homes, including an exclusive “Bragging Rights Live Here” yard sign to proudly display!

🎄 Registration Opens: November 23rd
🎁 Registration Deadline: December 13th
✨ Judging: December 14th & 15th
🏆 Winners Announced: December 16th

Contest Rules:

1. City Limits: Participants must reside within city limits. Only residential properties located within city limits are eligible to participate.

2. Registration: Participants must complete and submit the official registration form (See BELOW) by the designated deadline.

3. Displays: Decorations must be appropriate for public viewing. Displays containing profanity, nudity, or other inappropriate or offensive material will be disqualified.

4. Safety First: Decorations must not obstruct sidewalks, streets, driveways, fire hydrants, or public rights-of-way. Displays must not create safety hazards for pedestrians, motorists, or neighboring properties.

5. Judging: All decorations must be completed and illuminated (if applicable) during the designated judging period. Judges will evaluate displays based on creativity, originality, overall appearance, and Holiday spirit. Judging will take place between4:00 PM and 7:00 PM on December 14th and 15th. Please ensure your decorations are ready and illuminated (if applicable) on both dates, as judges may visit your home on either day.

6. Property Access: All judging will take place from the street or public sidewalk. Judges will not enter private property.

7. Display Permission: By registering, participants agree that their decorated property may be photographed and featured on the City's website, social media pages, and other promotional materials.

8. Winner Announcement: Winners will be announced on December 16th. Winners will be contacted using the information provided on their registration form.

9. Disqualification: The City reserves the right to disqualify entries that violate contest rules, create safety concerns, or contain inappropriate content.

By signing, I confirm that I am registering my residence for the Haunted Streets Decorating Contest. I have read and agree to the contest rules and give permission for photos of my exterior Halloween display to be taken and used by the City for contest, website, social media, and promotional purposes.
