On a sunny Tuesday morning, Oct.6, Governor Rhoden, city officials, developers, and representatives from the South Dakota Department of Transportation gathered to officially open the new Bennett Road Bridge, a $3.5 million investment in Box Elder’s future.
The project was largely funded through the Bridge Improvement Grant Program (BIG) from the South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT). This new bridge is more than a new piece of infrastructure. It strengthens connections, supports continued growth, and helps build the foundation for what’s next in Box Elder.
