MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
There will not be a June 2, 2026, Municipal Election for the City of Box Elder.
All vacancies received one candidate nomination petition. Appointments to new terms will take place in June 2026. Terms are 3 years long.
Municipal Offices with vacancies received candidate nomination petitions for the following offices:
- Alderman, Ward 1
- Kirk Beauchamp
- Alderman, Ward 2
- Patrick W. Schubert, Sr.
- Alderman, Ward 3
- Steven Bixel

VOTER REGISTRATION
If you would like to ensure you're registered to vote for upcoming elections, please visit the South Dakota Secretary of State - Voter Information Portal. If you are currently registered to vote, additional information is provided regarding your polling location, how to vote, and if you have a current absentee ballot application on file. You will also find information about how to contact your county auditor.
