Parks Legacy Program

Leave a lasting impact on the Box Elder community through the Parks Legacy Program.
Individuals, families, businesses, organizations, and community groups can sponsor a tree or bench in one of Box Elder’s parks or along the trail system. Whether honoring a loved one, recognizing an organization, or supporting the community, your contribution will enhance our parks and be appreciated by visitors for years to come.
With no eligibility requirements, the Parks Legacy Program offers a meaningful way to create a lasting legacy while helping maintain and beautify the places where our community gathers, plays, and enjoys the outdoors.

Sponsorship Program Option:

The Sponsorship Program offers businesses, organizations, and community groups the opportunity to sponsor a bench within the City of Box Elder’s park and trail system. Sponsorship provides a lasting contribution to the community while enhancing public spaces enjoyed by residents and visitors. It is a meaningful way to support local parks, increase community visibility, and help create welcoming outdoor spaces for everyone.

Bench Details:

The City of Box Elder will install a concrete pad and securely anchor the six-foot bench in its designated location. The City will maintain benches in the same manner as other park amenities. Each bench includes a 4" x 6" engraved bronze plaque attached to the backrest. Plaques may contain up to six lines of text, with a maximum of 30 characters per line. The plaque provides an opportunity to recognize a business, organization, group, or to honor a loved one with a lasting message.

Tree Details:

The Box Elder Parks Division will care for and maintain all trees planted through the Parks Legacy Program in the same manner as other trees throughout the park system. This includes watering as needed, mulching, staking, caging, pruning, and weed control. Trees are guaranteed for six months from the date of planting and will be replaced at no cost with a similar tree if they fail to establish. To schedule a tree planting, contact the Box Elder Parks Division by April 1 for spring planting or September 1 for fall planting. Plantings occur during the spring (mid-April to early June) and fall (mid-September to early November) seasons.
